Precision Garage Door company is an absolutely grade A organization. I made an on line appointment and was contacted shortly after. We set up a home visit to diagnose the problem with my garage doors; they are the original doors (20+ years). One motor was shot and both doors were rusting and very noisy. I had pretty much made up my mind about replacing them. They worked up an estimate which I agreed with. The sales guys were very professional. Luckily they were able to schedule the installation the next day. The installation guys were experts and very professional. THE MOST IMPRESSIVE THING FOR ME WAS THE LEVEL OF COMMUNICATION. I NEVER WONDERED WAS WAS NEXT. They kept me very informed. Thanks Precision

First I want to say thank you for coming out on the same day and the technician did take care of the issue. However, I have major concerns about the pricing and the sales tactics. I called your company first because you guys came to my parents house before and left a sticker on the garage door. I assumed that it is a company that we can trust and should call first. I am a healthcare professional and during this pandemic I could not get a day of to stay home to call around to shop for the best deal and it turned out to be my biggest mistake. Why I said that? Technician Bryan was on the phone with me and gave me the price as follow: standard springs plus replacing bearings and hinges: $600 Upgraded, coated high cycled plus the rest listed: $830 And he only has with him the pricier one in the truck. In my mind, I was like: what happened ? Last time it cost me less than $300 to fix the same problem and now it is around $800s? I lost the phone number of that company unfortunately. Long story short. The problem got fixed and I paid $700. After that I started calling 2 other top rated garage door companies in Houston and asked for the estimate to repair the exact same thing being listed on my invoice. None of the estimate would exceed $350 to get the same thing done. Other company will charge on average $20 to inspect and that charge will be waved if I choose to go with them. Since we are in the middle of a pandemic and I do not want different companies come and go at my house and I do not want to lose that $50 service charge for having someone come out to look at the garage. I can not entirely blame your technician and your company for my mistake since it was me who made the decision but your company left me a feeling of being overcharged or "ripped off". I felt obligated to advise friends and family not to call your company first and I should state my experience on Yelp to help future customers from going through the same thing. As we all going through the economic struggle caused by this pandemic, there is not a good reason to pay for a $65 bearing vs $15 somewhere else or a spring costs $250 each vs $150 somewhere else. Bottom line, I paid twice as much as I should have to. You got me good this time but it is the last time. I am sure of that.
