This would be a 5 star rating except for the cost of the service. Technician was competent and repaired the garage door opener quickly. However, for a total cost of $276 to repair an existing opener which involved replacing the gear sprocket on top of the unit, a person could buy two new openers or a very nice new belt drive opener instead. Being short on time, I went with Precision instead and paid the higher cost. Got to give them 3.5 stars at best due to cost.

I arrived home from work on Thursday afternoon - looking forward to the near future as I had taken Friday off for a three-day weekend with the family on the Little Red River. Pushed the garage door remote and the door only raised about four inches. Walked in through the front door and noticed that one of the garage door springs had broken. Great - didn't want to deal with this right now. Called a couple of garage door repair companies and Precision was the one that said they could have a person on-site the next morning. The Precision representative (Scott??) arrived at 8 am the next morning. He spent a few minutes looking over everything and gave me three estimates - ranging from only replacing the spring to completely re-equipping the springs, rollers, and cables. I chose the latter after Scott thoroughly went over everything with me. Scott was finished with all of the repairs by 10 am. He even took the time to readjust the garage door opener which was not part of the original scope of the project. I asked him if he was a franchise owner of Precision. He said he was a technician and not an owner. I was surprised to hear this because Scott seemed very into what he was doing. His effort to get everything right, knowledge of the process, and desire to satisfy the customer seemed to me like he was an owner. I am completely satisfied with the repairs done to our garage door. The garage door is 13 years old and it's good to know that I will not have to worry about it for several years. Scott absolutely knew what he was doing. Also, I was impressed that everything was done electronically on a tablet right there in my garage.
