Garage door weather-stripping comes in various styles, each designed to meet specific needs and provide protection against external elements. Choosing the right type of weather-stripping is essential to ensure your garage remains insulated, secure, and free from pests and debris. Common bottom seals include:

  • T-Shape Seal: T-shaped top that compresses to block gaps, keeping out pests, moisture, and debris.
  • Bulb-Shape Seal: Rounded at the top, this seal is flexible and ideal for uneven floors.
  • P-Shape Seal: An airtight seal with a P-shaped top, providing excellent insulation against wind and precipitation.
  • Triple Contact Seal: A triple contact seal offers maximum insulation with three points of contact for superior protection against the elements.

Threshold Seals

Threshold seals attach to the floor beneath the garage door. Made of durable rubber with a peak design, these seals protect against water, debris, and drafts. Threshold seals are especially effective when paired with a bottom seal.

Perimeter Seals

Perimeter seals cover the sides and top of the garage door, sealing any gaps between the door and its frame. Perimeter seals provide insulation and prevent dust, fumes, noise, and pests from entering through the edges of the door.
