I have used Precision Door Service in the past. I originally called to have my garage door serviced. Armando was prompt, polite and professional. He called prior to his arrival with his estimated arrival time. Upon arriving he performed an overall safety test on the door and opener. Then I was provided with (3) estimates. Since my opener was running slow, rough, and approaching 21 yrs., I decided to have it replaced. Armando was able to replace it during the visit. He also serviced my door and replaced the rollers.

Had a new belt drive installed which was an upgrade to my 15 year old chain drive unit a year ago. I reached out to have a technician take a look at a sticking issue that developed on the weather seals on each edge of the garage. Thankfully the resolution was a simple fix. Also had concerns on the overhead springs because they also were 15 years old, but after a full inspection it was decided they still had good operational life left, so no recommendations to replace at this time. Honesty is rare these days and appreciated. This is how you earn customers to keep coming back.

Technician tried to up sell me on a door and or cast blame on a garage door that operated just fine until plastic pulley wore out. The GDO was installed years ago and simply needed the pulley replaced and chain cable reinstalled & adjusted. Just do your job and fix the worn part. Don't try and tell me I need a new door or GDO. COMPLETE waste of time.

Ken, Our technicians at Precision Door Service do not try to up sell you items that you don't need, and our technician did not recommend a new door when the door is not the issue. When one part of a garage door opener breaks, it can affect other parts of the opener, as well as other components such as your springs, cables, etc. Our experienced and knowledgeable technicians do a thorough safety inspection to determine all the issues with your door, including those which may not be readily apparent, or parts that customers may consider replacing as preventative maintenance due to wear. and age. So what may look like one worn part, may be several parts. Also, many customers with openers manufactured before 2019 will replace them due to a California law which requires back up battery units in all new garage door openers. Due to issues with power outages, having a backup battery in your garage door opener will prevent you and your vehicle from becoming trapped.

After a horrible experience with another garage door company, I contacted Precision. They came out on a Sunday to give us an estimate and the representative worked with us on his day off to answer our questions and get the order placed. At the time of installation, the technician noticed that the top panel on each door was not quite the right height. It fit fine, but the space above the windows was smaller than the space below the windows. Had he not pointed it out, we never would have noticed. Precision ordered the new panels, but when they arrived, the technician noticed that a seam (which lined up with the lower panels) was not there. Again, we would not have noticed, but as the technician said, "You should get what you paid for.". Precision contacted the manufacturer and learned that they no longer made the "seamed" panels. Precision offered to install either the short panels or the "seamless" panels as well as refund a portion of our payment. We installed the "seamless" and they look beautiful. We added decorative hardware, and you don't even notice that the top panel is lacking the "seam". Every technician was on time and professional. They had everything ready to go on arrival, cleaned up after installation and took all the debris with them. We would recommend Precision to anyone looking for garage doors and would use them again in a heartbeat.

To Whom It May Concern: To this very hour, almost 24 hours after my appointment with a representative, I still have no paperwork, no itemization of all the costs. I do not know what the steel quality of the door is. I only found out recently that the door is not weatherized. I haven't a clue. In your opinion, is this the correct way to do business? I feel as if I allowed myself to be taken for a fool, thinking your company would conduct business properly. The representative presented me with only a single page of designs for garage doors. Most of them I did not like and the one I chose, would never have been to my liking. Yet your website has much more to look at? Why was I never given this material at my house is a question I cannot answer. What happened to me today, should never happen to anyone else. I feel like a fool who has been suckered. After speaking with our technician who met with you he said that he did go over multiple options with you, discuss whether the door was insulated or not, and gauge of steel used on the door. But if you have questions after our technicians has left your home, we are always happy to review order with you should you call or email. We have hundreds of options to chose from. We are sorry you picked a door that would never be to your liking, yet we cannot order a door without your approval and our technicians cannot force you to pick a door that you do not want. We also confirmed that your order was emailed to you, however we will mail a physical copy upon your request. As requested we have refunded your money.

I saw the ad on the tv and was impressed with what was said regarding being able to fix a door and not necessarily having to replace it with a new one. Their tech, Jason, came out and assessed the problem and quoted me a reasonable price to have it repaired. I agreed to the price to have it done and within an hour it was like new and made less noise than before. I will definitely call Precision garage door service if I need to have any work done on any of my garage doors.

Been a West San Fernando customer for 40 yrs and had them out here perhaps 4 times in that period for service. Very dependable and this time July 12 they responded to change my Liftmaster battery ( you can’t do it yourself) within several hours. I wish all businesses operated so reliably and efficiently.
