Without going into detail (and to save my husband some embarrassment), we broke our garage door bending the track and breaking the cables. It was late evening. I called Precision and they sent someone the next morning and fixed it. Excellent service, the young man explained what he needed to do and took care of it. I hope we don't break our garage door again but if it happens I will definitely call Precision!!

Broken Garage Door Spring Repair

Your man did a good job fixing the broken torsion spring. However, he also insisted on installing a truss along the upper edge of the door for additional support. When I expressed concern that the upper edge of the door was contacting the garage door opener screw drive track, he dismissed my concern. A few minutes later-after he had left-I attempted to open the door and the motor starting capacitor blew, emitting smoke into the garage. Evidently, the added stress of pushing the door against the overhead track put too much load on the capacitor. I called to request a new capacitor, but was told they are not in stock, and could not be ordered until Monday. I told the customer service representative that I would be out of town all week next week, and that my wife could not open the door manually. Despite my concerns, I received no satisfaction for a problem caused by your technician.
