They completed the work in a timely matter, and I am so impressed with the Precision product they helped me choose. Both men were friendly and very professional. Work was fine. The costs, I felt , were very high. I almost felt like I was being held hostage due to the necessity of having the items in the garage available. The cost of the various components was much higher than those found elsewhere. Labor was reasonable including the ‘ after hours’ charges. Again, work and workers were fine. Costs, not so much.

These folks are a happy contrast to the modern day disappointment of e-commerce. You phone them. They answer. You tell them you need some garage door attention. The same helpful communicator schedules it. They confirm in advance by 2 means. Then, if you’re lucky enough to get Darrin, he calls you when he’s on the way and shows up smiling; you learn how the mechanism works, and he shows you what you need and why- and after: what he did to fix it. He is articulate, amiable and the kind of tech I wish were. Don’t call some nameless 1-800 outfit. Call a local business- like Precision Door.

The experience booking service and receiving service was all very positive. The two-man team who came to my house called 30 min before arrival to confirm the time, they were very polite, and arrived just as promised. They determined the issue (one of my springs had broken) and told me that I needed new springs at minimum and recommended new pulleys, new wheels and new cable and safety cable. They gave me 3 estimates (good, better and best). I was shocked at the cost! When I called to make an appointment and asked for a basic estimate I was told that there was no way they could give me an idea of price. My time was tight, so I went with it. Basically, I ended up paying over $1000. Now maybe this is just what it costs, but had I been given a rough ball park range of possible costs, I would definitely have Gott en more estimates. It would have given me some peace of mind to know that this is just what these things cost. But as they had already arrived and would charge me $85 for coming, I agreed to proceed. The service was good, the people were. charming and efficient, so all that was positive. My only reservation was that I had no advance warning that this is what it would cost and no way to back out of it without losing my $85 service fee. Yes I recommend them, but first get estimates from other companies before you call this company. It is worth paying a little more for the best, but it is important to know what other companies charge before making that decision.

I worked with Precision Garage Door in 2023 to remedy a problem with my exterior garage door keypad. I was very pleased with that experience. This year, I had an even better experience. First, one of the springs on my garage door failed on Sunday, September 1 - the day before Labor Day. I was reluctant to even call on a Sunday but thought I could at least leave a Voicemail message. To my surprise a real live person answered the call and scheduled service for the morning after Labor Day! The technician (Chris) arrived in the early portion of the quoted service window and promptly diagnosed the problem, explained it to me, and presented two options for the needed repairs. He worked diligently and very neatly and was just a pleasure to interact with. Thank you Chris and Precision Garage Door Services!

One of the spring broke on our garage door and it would not open. We called around for information and ended up booking an appointment with Precision. Chris was our service person who called to set up the time of the appointment. He called before he came and even moved up the appointment to accomodate our schedule. He was very polite and thorough with his explanations about possible service solutions. Precision is not the cheapest service provided out there but you know they will do very good job using quality replacement parts.

I had a great experience with Precision. The company was recommended by a friend who had services for 2 homes in the past. The recommendation was exactly on target. Scheduling an assessment of my old garage door opener was easy. The technician, Sean, was extremely helpful! He assessed the situation, provided me multiple options and ultimately I chose to go with a new opener as mine was 25 years old! Sean didn’t push the products but gave me specific information to help me decide. He’s very knowledgeable and even helped me pair the opener to my car! Scheduled an inspection for the garage door not closing properly, guy came in second time (after no show on the first appointment) he checked the garage and gave recommendations for upgrades. He did not find any issues and still charged $85. When asked him to program my Car with garage he was asking additional $25 which does not make sense. Very poor service would not recommend to anyone. Be very sure before calling them

I had one spring break on one of my garage doors which needed to be fixed. I told the representative (Chris) that I was moving in less than a week and was just interested in getting the spring replaced and the door operating. Chris told me that he couldn't just fix the one spring but had to do an inspection and then he would give me a quote to fix the door "the right way". He did his inspection and then after about 20 minutes provided me with two quotes, one for over $900 and the other for over $1200. Chris suggested that if I just wanted the spring fixed I should get a handyman! I called you because over the last twenty years I have used you for repairs. It cost me $80 to have you come out and accomplish nothing but try to make a lot of money off of me. I was able to buy a new spring at Home Depot and my neighbor installed it for me in less than an hour and the door is working fine, which is what I needed! I got two new springs at Home Depot for a little over $20. This experience now has me questioning how much I was overcharged in the past. I will never use your company nor recommend you again!!
