Wow,awesome service. I called at 12:11, the technician, Brandon called me at 1:03 to tell me he would be at my house at 1:45. He quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the door's springs and bearings. Brandon was very knowledgeable and friendly...even helped me to try and figure out how to program my car's Homelink buttons. This business is truly a model for customer service.

Couldn't be more pleased with the service I received from Greg Gray at Precision. Same day service was prompt and communication both before and during visit was phenomenal and friendly. Greg was very efficient and through in his work. He knows his stuff. The repairs I had done were probably a little more expensive than what it would have taken to get things back in operation but I believe much higher quality parts were used and the job done was top notch. I should not have to deal with similar issues for a long time.

Overall, an unsatisfactory experience. Second tech (Chris) arrived at the scheduled time after the original tech (Evan) tried to come two hours earlier than agreed. Although he was respectful, Chris gave me an original estimate of $950+ to replace two springs and a bracket. When I declined, came back with a $600+ estimate, which I also declined. Came back a third time with an estimate of $449, which I accepted. Agreed to accept their coupon of $15 off, only to tell me at the end that he could not accept it because he had already applied a coupon. No coupon had been applied, only the three estimates. Not a good way to do business. Give the customer a fair estimate and don't play games. Unfortunately, cannot recommend your company. I only gave two stars because the tech was courteous and the work was completed in a timely manner. Garage door appears to be working well. Will be writing a Google review as well.

The original quote you received was a repair that could take care of all the worn parts on your garage door. When you declined the service, the technician began to give you options where some parts were taken away to get the price down, but allow the door to still function as a partial repair. It in no way was meant to seem as if we were playing games with the price, or give you the impression of poor business practices. Eleven years ago, Precision Door of Raleigh installed a Hormann garage door on our house, with a lifetime warranty . We had 10 years of great service from the door, but then it began to rust in places on the inside and outside, causing unsightly dark spots. We called Precision Door and they contacted Hormann for warranty support. Today, Precision Door installed a replacement door provided by Hormann, even though they no longer carry their line. Neither Precision Door or Hormann made any money today, but both companies have earned our trust and gratitude. I would recommend both companies if you need a new garage door.
