David did an awesome job , I appreciate the time he spent for the installation and to go over showing me how everything works for the new garage door opener. Two weeks ago I had the springs and cables replaced by your tech Matt who also did a great job , my thoughts were to eventually get the door replaced but if I do then all the springs and hardware I just purchased 2 weeks ago are not going to work with the new door . I was wondering if there could possibly be some form of credit I could get if I purchase a new door . I have $1492.75 in the new hardware that won’t work on the new door I would purchase. The parts right now are only 2 weeks old.

Their technician, John, was truly world class and the entire process from reporting my need, booking the visit by the technician and paying for the work done was flawless. In particular the ongoing communication from confirming the booking through receiving the receipt for payment could not have been better. After doing due diligence in researching this and similar vendors, I comfortably settled In a highly rated and recommended company, Precision Door to replace my burned out lift motor. Service was completed this past Sunday(yes, Sunday!), by their technician John. John was personable, professional, and knowledgeable. He talked us through what work was needed to be done, and the reasons for same. From the moment of first phone contact with the company, I was impressed by the immediate follow-up received from them in the form of texts, emails, reminders, and even a technician bio and photo prior to his arrival. John was also respectful of social distancing and wore a mask whenever we were in his immediate area. I would not hesitate to recommend Precision Door.

We were referred to Precision by Kent Diamond of Nancy Way in Westfield, NJ. After calling late afternoon on Memorial Day, we were scheduled for 12:00 pm the next day. Brain Hallock, our service technician today, clearly explained all our options. We needed new springs, rollers, motor and keypad. His work was A+, which included an explanation/tutorial on how to use all features. His work was meticulous and left everything really neat and clean. Would not hesitate to highly recommend Precision Overhead door company.

Precision Door sets a remarkable standard for home service providers. I called them at around Noon and their team was here before 2:00 the same day. Chris and Josh were knowledgeable, professional, and crystal clear with regard to their diagnosis of my inoperative garage door and the costs associated with the various courses of action to address the issues. I could not be more satisfied as a consumer. I wish every single home service provider operated like this - my home would be in much better condition because I wouldn’t dread the calls and the scheduling and the nonsense and the surprise charges and the shoddy work. The technician was very helpful and accommodating. We had an appointment scheduled for the day before, however, the technician was running way behind so we needed to re-schedule. The remotes were both in need of repair, however, the technician did not have batteries on the truck so we are waiting for another appointment next week to replace. He did, however, offer to supply us with a loaner remote.

While the service tech did an excellent job rebuilding the entire door mechanism and replacing the motor, I found the pricing to be extremely high. Precision won the business by being the first to call back and since I wanted to get this done quickly, I was not interested in shopping around. While the tech was in installing I did check online pricing for the motor they charged me $500 for and saw it on various sites for less than $200. The rebuild of the entire door was an additional $700, so I feel the whole job was overpriced by about $300.
