On a cold and rainy Friday morning, my garage door decided to snap a cable and just quit working completely. Being a heavy, wooden door, I had no clue how I was going to get this fixed or even where to begin. After doing an internet search, I found Precision Door Services, and was motivated by their promise to have a technician at my house within four hours. I made the phone call and someone was at my house within the hour. My technician was Matthew Dewald, and thanks to the text from Precision, I knew what he looked like and a little bit about him, before he arrived at my home. I knew exactly when he would arrive, having been sent a tracking link as well. This is especially reassuring, in today's climate. Upon his arrival, Matthew went over the problem, with me, and was able to advise what I needed (cable, pulleys, springs, and two brackets). I was given all options, with varying costs, and absolutely NO pressure or upselling. I felt comfortable with my choices and, while the repair wasn't exactly inexpensive, I was up and running within 90 minutes of arrival and that was absolutely worth it to me. I highly recommend Matthew. He is professional, personable, extremely competent, thorough, and explained every step of what was needed and what he was doing, in terminology I could understand. I felt confident in the repair and he did not leave until he was sure everything was working to my satisfaction. I would use Precision Door Service again in a heartbeat, but I hopefully won't need service again for a long time.

Nothing like a customer feeling cheated, misinformed and stupid. I believe the person came already knowing what was to be sold before he even saw my issue. Instead of selling me parts to fix the existing hardware I could have gotten a brand new unit for half the price. - I was told a brand new unit would cost almost as much and would be complicated. - asked to have the bent rail fixed - this is where the door was getting stuck previously - was told it would damage the whole unit. You guys are pro's why would that happen. - He programed my car to open the door - awesome. I asked him to show me how he did it he said it was too complicated. - I asked for a universal opener so I can give it to a family member - did not get an answer. We are talking about $1000 to fix hardware on a garage door. Was he nice - yes. Was he professional - yes Do I trust you guys now - no

In summary, Ryan Murphy came out, his presentation, knowledge and workmanship would be a clear 5 Rating. He explained everything and reasons for replacement. His role in the service could not have been better. With that said, the total price of over $900 for work that took approximately 90 minutes or so (not sure exact time spent) is off the chart way too expensive!! I agreed to pay since we had a family van stuck in garage and needed it fixed. No doubt, I am sure great materials were used and I am sure the work will last.. If I am to use this company again (on the other door that will need work at some point) and/or refer you guys (especially with a great tech Ryan who I would highly recommend) I would need some level of discount to take the very bad sting out of this expense. It took quite a bit of explaining to my wife on a $900 bill for garage door when we rarely have bills that high for medical reasons :) .. Just honest feedback that I hope your team will take seriously. Take the edge off the bill and you will get more referral business long term.

The Pros: Matt was excellent. He was fast, played well with the dogs, wore a mask and was COVID conscious (COVID paranoid wife approved). I called at 8am and the problem was fixed by 1130am - that was great considering the cars were locked in. The Cons: $700 for 2 new springs and 2torsion cables is steep. This is very expensive. 2 springs are $75 each and the cable is maybe $50. 1 hour of labor doesn't cost $500. All in all, I got great service and very fast turnaround (my cars were locked in the garage) however at too high a cost. Not disappointed but not thrilled.

I am very satisfied by an exceptional service provided throughout the process of initiating a request for service to the end of the service provided. I was given an appoint for service which was confirmed via email and text this morning. Brian Hallock was a true professional who came within the window of appointment time frame. He was knowledgeable, courteous and knew his job well. He went at length to answer all my queries and performed an excellent job, where my garage door was up and running in less than hour. I am Impressed as he replaced my old system with another system in this time frame. He even checked my old motor and advised on that as well.

My husband and I cannot begin to say how happy we are with our experience with Precision. Our designer, Tammy, is very sweet, very helpful with choosing our design, she gave us all the information we need and very responsive and patience with all the questions we had. I am also very impress of how fast the whole process of getting our door. We met with Tammy on Tuesday and we had our garage door and opener installed today which is also a very smooth process. The technician, Cesar, came on time, very polite and finished the installation in 3 1/2 hrs! I would highly recommend Precision to anyone looking to replace or get a new garage door. We are 100% satisfied customer!!!
