Tech came out and inspected problem. Advised me to call the manufacturer and get a new logic board, then call tech for another visit. Manufacturer asked me some questions and debugged with me over the phone. Does not seem like a logic board issue. Looks like installation issue where installation tolerances were not held and were compensated for by some fine tuning of the track. The cable sensing switch bounces a little and trips when the door starts moving and trips. Cable is 3/8" from the wall frame, not 3/4" as recommended. After a year the track has come a loose in spots and now needs to be realigned so as not to upset the cable sensor and tightened. Not happy with installation where items come loose after one year, especially since the door is used only once or twice a week. Not happy to pay for a service call from a very polite tech who sure seemed over his head.

I can count the number of times the LED blinks, whichis described in the users manual. Don't know why the tech couldn't. I have no experience trouble shooting garage doors and I have a degree from U of I in computer engineering and 45 years experience designing and trouble shooting computer control systems for industrial equipment far more complicated that the garage door. Sorry I wasted my time and money with your firm. Just fixing the cable sensor may not fix the problem, but usually one must fix the flat tire to see that the strut is worn out. Thanks for the smart alec answer.

I have had the privilege of utilizing the services of your Company, and specifically, having Greg Valade serving as our technician, for over 10 years. The services provided have included routine garage door service and maintenance, garage door overhaul, installation of a new garage door opener, and others. On April 19, 2017, I discovered that, when I tried to lower our garage door using a remote, as well as the wall mounted switch, the door did not go down, and the operator motor did not respond. At 5:00 P.M., on that day, I called the Precision Garage Door toll free Number, and I was given an appointment for a service call on April 20, 2017, between 11:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. I advised the telephone rep that I had an established relationship with Greg, and if possible, I would prefer having him as our service technician. At !:00 P.M. on April 20th, the Precision Truck entered my driveway, and I was delighted to see Greg. He was able to determine that the Liftmaster opener, which was installed in 2007, most likely needed a replacement of the Computer Module, a $389.00 repair. I asked how much it would cost to install a new Liftmaster opener and the estimate was $600.00. It seemed illogical to invest $389.00 in a 10 year old opener, when replacing the unit would cost $600.00. Consequently, I advised Greg that I wanted to replace the opener. He informed me that he would have to order the unit, but he could return the next morning to install it. He did, indeed, return the next morning, at which time the new opener was installed. Greg and Precision unquestionably deserve a 5 Star rating for the exceptional customer service, which I received. Greg has proven himself to be a master of his craft. He has earned my full confidence and unequivocal trust. Each time he has come to my house, he has provided very prompt and "gold standard" service, and more importantly, it has always been clear that his work at my house has been performed with the same level of care and commitment as he would devote at his own home. Greg is an exceptionally knowledgeable and accomplished technician, and an impeccable gentleman. He is also an outstanding ambassador for Precision Garage Doors. Congratulations to Greg and Precision for your superior work! Please DO NOT use my last name if you choose to use my review, or any part of it, on your website.
