I was having trouble opening my garage door from the inside of my car. I assumed that my battery in my hand control was not working so I opened it up, put in a new battery and had no results. I called Precision and they came to my house, inspected my OLD DOOR opener and told me that it was not working. We then talked about the problem and I decided to put in a new opened. The young man went to work and did a wonderful job, cleaned up after finishing the work and politely THANKED ME.

The garage door opener failure was unexpected. We called Precision late in the day but were told Mr. Brinkman would come in the evening. My daughter conferred with him every step of the way. He was very profession and after all was installed, he gave my husband and I and our daughter thorough instructions and reviews of the new opener. We appreciate Mr. Brinkman's good humor and patience with our understanding of the new technology.

Note: more than springs replaced but that option is missing. Mr. Leahy was an outstanding repairman. Not only did he know how to analyze my problem he was able, and willing, to communicate clearly the problem and solution to me. After the repair was done he made certain that I saw parts that represented the issues he had noted. While I did not observe him throughout his job, whenever I did appear he was working diligently and safely. I believe I noted the door being made secure at one point to assure his own safety. The folks from Precision Door were extremely prompt and professional, even though I decided not to pursue my keypad project. I left a message on their website on Sunday afternoon and with a few follow-ups, got a technician to visit and make an assessment on Monday afternoon. Turns out my garage door motors are too old for adding a keypad on the outside of the garage, and I didn't want to spend the money on new motors. The technician agreed and didn't try to sell me something over the top.

I am very disappointed with my experience dealing with your company. During web chat I described my issues and asked a quotation. You told me replace an Lyft Mastet 8160 etc will cost around 700 dollars. Then I set up an appointment. When your service man comes he told me everything was wrong to fix them and gave me an estimate of 3100 and 3700 dollars. This is absurd. Now I was still charged with 69.95 dollars. Actually I have coupon of half off the visitation. Now I paid another company to fix the problem at much less cost.

I very much appreciate your repair guy being able to come out same day and he was very nice and knew what he was doing. I take responsibility for authorizing the repairs, but I handle purchasing and payables for a $1 billion business. I know about contracts and pricing and keeping customers happy. I also do most of my own repairs on my house and cars. I could have done this repair had I the time. I just needed my garage door to open and didn't have the time to go to Home Depot and work on it during the week. Charging nearly $600 before taxes for 2 torsion springs is just obscene and is price gouging in my opinion. Unless there's something I don't know, 2 springs at Home Depot are about $100. So are your springs significantly more expensive/better than what Home Depot sells? Your guy spent about 90 minutes to 2 hours at my house. Since you don't charge hourly, I don't know what you charge, but even a high end auto mechanic only charges about $175 an hour. So that would be $350 in labor and $100 in parts, so $450 at most. $600 is just taking advantage of a customer that needs to get their garage door open and in my humble opinion, it is no way to run a business.
